Love Our Tradition : In 2015, Onamtraditions opened a shop in Thrissur and started selling traditional and attractive hand-looms at an affordable price.It’s a one-stop shop for all Kerala traditional products and it aims to provide a hassle-free, enjoyable shopping experience to shoppers across the country with the widest range of hand-looms, handicrafts, arts, organics, and spices from Kerala. “The brand is making a conscious effort to bring the power of Kerala’s authentic products to shoppers with an array of the latest and trendiest products available.”

      The company originally operated from a single store in Thrissur, but now it has multiple locations in Bangalore. As time passed, however in 2016 the company took its business to online. In 2018 and 2019, they partnered with Flipkart and Amazon on retail areas and added art and craft divisions too.

        CHALLENGES

        Did not meet the company’s expectations : Onam Tradition first entered the world of digital marketing through Flipkart and then partnered with Amazon too. “Unfortunately, both platforms did not meet the company’s expectations in performance, affordability, reliability, and scalability, and we knew Flipkart wasn’t going to be a platform to help us grow as a business. As a business, we grew and became more complex and sophisticated day by day, but we don’t have any supported platforms”.

          “We needed a marketplace platform that we could trust and that had the capability to deliver a unique customer experience. So push ourselves to migrate to a different platform that had more out-of-the-box capabilities. As a result, we're looking for a platform that can match us with more innovative technology.” said Aswathy.
